The Electric Motor Vehicle Company Ltd
Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery
EMVC has designed and manufactured a Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (LiFePO4), therein after called the BATTERY designed to provide power for electric farm vehicles, Solar and Wind Power storage.
EMVC have designed these batteries into their range of Hisun UTV vehicles.
The batteries have a unique internal battery management system designed to allow up to 4 batteries to be connected in parallel to increase the energy storage capacity.
The base specification is:
- Module dimensions ————- 500mm(long) x500mm(wide) x310mm(high)
- Voltage (nominal) —————- 48V
- End of discharge voltage——– 35.2V
- Capacity (nominal)————— 9.600KWH
- Max average current————- 200amp
- Max peak current—————– 300amp
- Charge current——————– 15amp
- Operating temp range———— minus 20 to +50 degree C
- Life expectancy——————- 4000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge at 0.5C
- Range——————————- tested at 85km (subject to operating environment)
- Weight—————————– 105kg
- Construction——————— 1.5mm fully welded SS3042B
- Cell construction—————- Prismatic aluminium cells
The battery management system includes an active balancer to maintain an even cell voltage to extend the range and battery life.
The batteries are built to last and are ideal for powering heavy-duty industrial vehicles and machines.
This battery is modular and at this point there is no plan to manufacture various sizes and specifications. The capacity increases can therefore only be a multiple of the battery size.
Warranty.
The battery is a sealed unit and should not require any servicing as long as it is used within its operating parameters. The operating life of the battery is expected to be 4000 charging cycles. This equates to more than 10 years of useful life. The battery will have a warranty of 5 years from the date of purchase. If the battery seal is broken the warranty will be voided.
The Battery Management System (BMS) can be accessed via a Bluetooth connection to analyse faults and change parameters.
Should maintenance be required the battery will be returned to EMVC (or its agent) at the cost of MSA (Marketing Service Agent. It will be checked and repaired or replaced with a refurbished battery. If this occurs within the warranty period of 5 years, the repair or refurbishment will be borne by EMVC. If the work is done after the warranty expires, labour and material costs will be charged to MSA.
The freight cost to return the battery to MSA will be paid for by MSA.
